How many times have you said to yourself “I’m hungry, I want some quick, but I also want it to be healthy”? When asked this question most people settle for the typical S-word. Salads! A handful of Iceberg lettuce, a couple of sliced carrots, a tomato or two, and two cups of dressing later you have successfully consumed nothing but oil, sugar, and an insignificant amount of nutrients. The days of eating boring salads, and meals from death shacks and fast foodless restaurants are over! In 2020 health is the new wealth, and wealthy people don’t settle.
The term vegan in my opinion is highly overrated but I understand it is what most people associate with “healthy” eating. Although consuming a vegan diet can lower your potential risk of developing cancer by avoiding the dairy and meat products that have been scientifically linked to cancers such as breast cancer and prostate cancer, it does not eliminate other disease causing ingredients such as sugar and oil. Although this blog is a resource on quick and easy recipes for healthy meals, it is always important to be aware of your sugar and oil intake when preparing and purchasing meals. These sneaky ingredients can often keep people from losing those few extra pounds when they feel like they have been eating a primarily healthy diet.
Since starting my plant-based journey I have always searched for quick and easy meals that I could take on-the-go, consume in-between business meetings, or make when I just want something quick and easy. Below are links to my top 3 quick and easy vegan meals, try these out and let me know what you think! I recommend people always use recipes for guidance – you know your taste buds better than anyone else, always add your own seasonings to taste. Just remember to go easy on the salt, oil, and sugar.
